Today I added a few more details and some photos to the page on Family. Since visiting Hugh and meeting Paul in Birmingham in October 2016, I gained some copies of photos and important certificates from them, and we also compared our memories of our parents.Now Richard is typing up the diary that Dad kept at the start of his RAF service in India from May to November 1943. It makes fascinating reading.
In October 2016 we also visited Richard's mum Joan in Marton, Middlesbrough, and she showed us some old family photos from the Newton and Robinson families. I also saw Richard's first home in Newham Crescent and his old school, Captain Cook Primary School.Richard has also been using Ancestry to research further back into both our family histories. We have traced them back to the early 1800s.
